The Translation Archives of TTS Editions offer complete and excerpted translations drawn from my longstanding Japanese-English practice focusing on works in modern Japanese literature, philosophy, and critical social theory. Each text is presented in its current state of editorial development with substantive revision, expansion, and external publication in mind.

Early iterations of several of the translations are available on the Comparative Literature Faculty and Student Scholarship page for Christopher Southward at the The Open Repository @ Binghamton (The ORB). Each translation presented here is offered for strictly non-commercial and non-derivative use. Where applicable, the reader/user agrees to follow standard attribution and citing conventions using the bibliographic data prominently displayed within each text file.

Unless otherwise indicated, the original texts used for these translations were sourced from Aozora Bunko (https://www.aozora.gr.jp/)—an online repository of public-domain Japanese-language works. Except where contractually ceded, copyright to all partial and complete translations presented here is held exclusively by Christopher Southward, Ten Thousand Shards, and TTS Editions. New and expanded translations are underway and will be made available here soon.
